Match Analysis — Banker Pick

This fixture has produced BTTS in 8 of the last 10 Premier League meetings between these sides. Man City have conceded in 7 of their last 9 home league games — their high defensive line invites pressure. Tottenham have scored in all of their last 11 away trips in the league. The attacking quality on both sides makes a goalless performance from either team highly unlikely.

Match Analysis

Nottingham Forest have scored in 9 of their last 10 home Premier League games — their front line has been one of the surprises of the season. Arsenal have scored in every away league game in 2026. Forest's defensive shape is solid but they leave space in behind, which Saka and Martinelli exploit regularly. Both teams carrying genuine scoring threat makes BTTS the natural call.

Match Analysis

This is a classic low-scoring survival battle. Everton and Wolves are both in the bottom half and have collectively failed to score in 40% of their combined away and home fixtures in the league this season. Wolves have failed to score in 6 of their last 10 away games. The goalless threat from at least one side is high enough to back BTTS No with moderate confidence.

Match Analysis

Villarreal have scored in 10 of their last 11 La Liga away games — they are one of the most consistent away attacking sides in Spain. Real Madrid have conceded in 7 of their last 9 home league games despite their quality. The Yellow Submarine's fluid 4-4-2 presses high and creates chances even against elite defences. Madrid will score; the question is whether they can keep Villarreal out — the data says no.

Match Analysis

Getafe are one of La Liga's most defensively rigid sides — they sit deep, limit space, and have kept 5 clean sheets in their last 8 home games. Osasuna have failed to score in 5 of their last 9 away fixtures. This is exactly the type of tight, low-event game where BTTS No carries real value. We expect a 1-0 or 0-0 result.

Match Analysis

BTTS has landed in 7 of the last 8 meetings between RB Leipzig and Freiburg. Leipzig's gegenpressing system generates high shot volumes but also leaves defensive space. Freiburg are disciplined but have scored in 8 of their last 9 away Bundesliga games — their movement and set-piece threat is consistent. The head-to-head trend alone makes this a strong BTTS Yes selection.

Match Analysis

Frankfurt are the Bundesliga's leakiest defence in the top half — they have conceded in every home game this calendar year. Hoffenheim, despite their mid-table position, have scored in 7 of their last 8 away games. Frankfurt will create plenty going forward against an exposed Hoffenheim backline. This is a medium-confidence BTTS Yes backed by both teams' persistent inability to keep clean sheets.

Match Analysis

Despite Atletico's reputation for defensive rigidity, they have conceded in all 4 of their UCL home games this season — European football's intensity disrupts even Simeone's defensive block. Benfica have scored in all 5 of their away European fixtures. Atlético will create chances with Griezmann and Morata — and Benfica's front three have the pace to punish on transitions. BTTS Yes has landed in the last 4 H2H European meetings.

Match Analysis

Celtic will come to Dortmund with an aggressive attacking mentality — they never park the bus in European away games. BVB's porous home backline has conceded in 6 consecutive Westfalenstadion games across all competitions. Celtic have scored in each of their last 5 UCL away fixtures. The likelihood of both teams finding the net here is high, even if the scoreline ultimately favours BVB heavily.

About BTTS Predictions

BTTS Predictions — Both Teams to Score Tips Explained

Both Teams to Score — or BTTS — is one of the most popular goal markets in football betting precisely because it removes the result from the equation. It doesn't matter who wins. It doesn't matter by how much. The only question is whether the home team and the away team each score at least one goal during the 90 minutes. Every prediction on this page answers that question with a Yes or No, backed by the statistical evidence our analysts use to reach each conclusion.

BTTS Yes vs BTTS No — How Each Works

A BTTS Yes bet settles as a winner if the final score contains at least one goal for each team — 1-1, 2-1, 3-2, anything works as long as neither side finishes on zero. The match result is completely irrelevant. A BTTS No bet wins when at least one team is kept off the scoresheet — a 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, or a 0-0 scoreless draw all result in a BTTS No win. Many bettors overlook BTTS No as an option, but in the right fixture context — particularly tight defensive matchups between low-scoring sides — it represents genuine value.

In European football, BTTS Yes lands in approximately 52–56% of all top-division fixtures across a full season. That figure is not uniform — it varies significantly by league, fixture type, and form cycle, which is exactly where our analysis adds value.

GG and NG — the Same Market, Different Name

If your bookmaker uses the labels GG (Goal Goal) and NG (No Goal), these are identical to BTTS Yes and BTTS No respectively. GG means both teams scored; NG means at least one team did not. SportPesa, Betway, and several African-market bookmakers commonly use the GG/NG labelling. All of our BTTS predictions on this page apply directly to GG/NG markets.

The Data Behind Every BTTS Pick

Predicting BTTS outcomes relies on a different statistical lens than predicting match results. The variables that matter most are each team's individual scoring rate — particularly in their current venue role (home or away) — and each team's defensive clean sheet rate in that same role. A team that scores in 80% of their home games combined with an opponent that scores in 75% of their away games produces a BTTS Yes probability that comfortably exceeds 60%.

We also weight head-to-head BTTS history heavily. Some fixtures have a persistent BTTS pattern that holds across multiple seasons regardless of either team's form — often driven by a structural tactical matchup that consistently produces open, goalful games. When H2H BTTS rate is above 70% over the last 8 meetings, this factor alone moves the probability significantly.

For BTTS No picks, the key indicators are reversed — we look for at least one side with a clean sheet rate above 40% at their current venue, combined with a visiting team that has failed to score in at least 4 of their last 10 away games. When both conditions exist together, the case for BTTS No is strong enough to publish.

Why BTTS Works Well in Accumulators

BTTS Yes is a natural accumulator market because the threshold — both teams scoring once — is much lower than predicting a win margin or correct score. A 4-fold BTTS Yes accumulator combining four high-confidence picks can reach odds of 8/1 to 12/1 while maintaining a statistical probability of landing in the 35–45% range, depending on individual pick quality. Our daily accumulator tips page regularly features BTTS legs for this reason.

BTTS No legs can also strengthen an accumulator in specific situations — particularly when the accumulator already has enough BTTS Yes legs and you want a contrarian leg that provides genuine diversification. A correctly assessed BTTS No at 5/6 or evens is often better value than a low-odds home favourite.

Leagues Where BTTS Lands Most Often

Historically, the Bundesliga produces the highest BTTS Yes rate of Europe's top five leagues — typically above 58% across a full season. This reflects the high-pressing, attack-first philosophy common across German clubs. The Premier League sits around 55%. La Liga and Serie A tend to hover closer to 50%, particularly in games involving the defensively rigid mid-table clubs. The Champions League knockout stages produce surprisingly high BTTS rates — close to 62% — because only attacking, high-quality sides reach the latter rounds and both teams are motivated to score.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does an own goal count for BTTS?

Yes. An own goal counts as a goal for the team that benefits from it — so if a defender puts the ball into his own net, the opposing team is credited with the goal. This means an own goal can and does contribute to a BTTS Yes result being settled in the favour of bettors.

Does extra time count for BTTS?

No. Like almost all standard football betting markets, BTTS is settled on the 90-minute result only (including injury time added by the referee). Goals scored during extra time or a penalty shootout do not affect the BTTS outcome.

What is the best BTTS strategy?

The most consistent approach is to focus on fixtures where both teams have high individual scoring rates — particularly in their current venue role — and where the head-to-head BTTS history is strong. Avoid chasing BTTS Yes in games involving one heavily defensive side without clear evidence that the defensive team does score regularly on the road.

Can I use BTTS predictions for SportPesa GG/NG?

Yes — BTTS Yes is identical to GG and BTTS No is identical to NG. All picks on this page apply directly to SportPesa's GG/NG market. Our SportPesa Mega Jackpot page also includes GG/NG guidance for jackpot fixtures.
