Responsible Gambling

Gambling Should Be Entertainment, Not a Strategy

90Predict publishes football predictions for informational and entertainment purposes only. This page sets out our responsible gambling policy, explains the warning signs of problem gambling, and provides helplines and self-exclusion tools for users in Kenya, the UK, and worldwide. If you are in crisis, go straight to the helpline section below.

Our Policy

Our Commitment to Responsible Gambling

90Predict is a free football predictions and analysis site. We publish tips for informational and entertainment purposes only. We are not a bookmaker, we do not accept bets, and we do not profit from any wager placed by a reader. Our predictions are editorial content — statistical analysis and reasoned opinion — not financial advice.

What We Will Never Do

We will never claim a prediction is certain, guaranteed, or 100% safe. No football prediction can ever be guaranteed — upsets happen in every league, every week. Any website that claims otherwise is misleading you.

We will never encourage chasing losses. If a prediction loses, we do not publish follow-up content suggesting the next bet will recover it. Chasing losses is one of the most destructive patterns in problem gambling.

We will never suggest that gambling is a reliable source of income. Predictions are entertainment. They are not a financial strategy, an investment, or a path to consistent profit.

We will never hide our losing tips. Every prediction we publish is tracked on our Results page — wins and losses — so readers can make an informed judgment about our accuracy without us curating the record.

18+ Only

18+
All content on 90Predict is intended for adults aged 18 and over. In jurisdictions where the legal gambling age is higher than 18 — including parts of the United States — the local legal minimum applies. We do not knowingly publish content directed at minors. If you are under 18, please leave this site.

Predictions Are Not Guaranteed

Our High Confidence predictions carry a historical win rate above 70% — but this means they also lose more than 1 in 4 times. Medium Confidence tips lose more than 4 in 10 times. These figures are published openly on our Results page and updated daily. Past accuracy does not predict future performance. Any bet carries the risk of total loss.

Know the Signs

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can develop gradually and is often difficult to recognise in yourself. The following are common warning signs. If you identify with several of these, speaking to a support service is a positive and confidential step — not an admission of failure.

Betting more than you planned — regularly exceeding the amount you intended to stake before you started.
Chasing losses — placing further bets to try to win back money you have already lost.
Borrowing money to gamble — using loans, credit cards, or money borrowed from friends or family to fund betting.
Gambling with money needed for essentials — using rent, food, or bill money to place bets.
Hiding gambling activity — lying to friends or family about how much you gamble or how much you have lost.
Inability to stop — feeling unable to walk away even when you want to, or when you have already lost more than you are comfortable with.
Gambling affecting relationships — arguments, tension, or distance in relationships caused by gambling behaviour.
Gambling affecting work or study — missing work, underperforming, or losing concentration because of gambling.
Mood dependent on outcomes — feeling anxious or irritable when not gambling, or distressed after losses in a way that feels uncontrollable.
Thinking about gambling constantly — spending significant time planning bets, reviewing odds, or reliving previous wins and losses.

Recognising one or two of these does not automatically mean you have a gambling problem — but it is worth reflecting honestly. If several apply, or if gambling is causing distress or financial harm, speaking to a professional is the right step. All the services listed on this page are free, confidential, and non-judgmental.

Safer Gambling

Tips for Keeping Gambling Under Control

If you gamble recreationally and want to keep it that way, these practical steps help maintain healthy boundaries. They apply whether you are new to betting or have been doing it for years.

01
Set a budget before you start — and stick to it. Decide how much you are willing to lose before placing any bet. Treat it as the cost of entertainment, not an investment. When the budget is gone, stop.
02
Never chase losses. A losing streak does not increase the probability of a winning bet. The next prediction is statistically independent of the last one. Betting more to recover losses is the fastest route to significant financial harm.
03
Only bet money you can afford to lose entirely. Never use rent, food money, savings, or borrowed funds to place bets. Every bet should be placed as though you might receive nothing back.
04
Set time limits. Decide in advance how long a betting session will last and stop at that point regardless of whether you are winning or losing. Bookmaker apps often have built-in time limit tools — use them.
05
Do not gamble when emotional. Betting while angry, stressed, drunk, or very excited significantly impairs judgment and increases reckless staking. If your mood is heavily influenced by a recent result, take a break before placing your next bet.
06
Take regular breaks. Continuous gambling without pauses is a warning sign in itself. Step away after a set number of bets or a fixed time period, regardless of your current profit or loss position.
07
Use deposit limits and self-exclusion tools proactively. Most licensed bookmakers allow you to set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits. Setting these before you feel you need them is the most effective use — not after you have already exceeded your comfort zone.
08
Tell someone you trust. Keeping gambling activity secret makes it easier to escalate beyond safe limits. Telling a trusted friend or family member about your gambling — even just how much you are spending — creates a natural check on behaviour.

Take a Break

Self-Exclusion Tools

Self-exclusion allows you to voluntarily block yourself from gambling with a specific bookmaker or, in some countries, across multiple licensed operators simultaneously. It is free, does not require a reason, and can be done immediately online in most cases. It is one of the most effective tools for anyone who wants to stop or take a break from gambling.

Editorial Standards

How This Policy Shapes Our Content

Language We Do Not Use

90Predict avoids language that misrepresents the nature of gambling or encourages irresponsible behaviour. We do not use phrases like "guaranteed wins", "sure things", "risk-free bets", "definitely winning today", or similar language that implies certainty where none exists. Our confidence ratings (High / Medium) describe the statistical strength of a selection — not its probability of success with certainty.

How We Reference Past Results

When our predictions reference historical win rates — such as "our High Confidence picks have a 71% win rate" — we are describing past performance from a tracked sample. This is always stated in the past tense and accompanied by the sample size. Past performance does not guarantee future results, and we do not imply otherwise.

Advertising and Sponsorship

Where 90Predict includes links to licensed bookmakers — such as on our jackpot pages — these may be affiliate or sponsored links, clearly labelled with the rel="sponsored" attribute in HTML. Sponsored links do not influence editorial selection. No bookmaker pays for prediction placement or influences which tips we publish. Our predictions are selected independently by our analysts using the methodology described on our About page.

Reporting Concerns

If you believe any content on 90Predict encourages harmful gambling behaviour, or if you have concerns about how we handle responsible gambling, please contact us at hello@90predict.com. We review all concerns promptly.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your predictions safe to follow?

Our predictions are analytical opinions based on statistical data. They are not guaranteed to win, and no prediction ever is. Our win rate — tracked openly on the Results page — shows both our successes and our failures. You should treat any prediction as one input in your own decision-making, not as a certainty. Never bet more than you can afford to lose on any prediction, regardless of the confidence level.

What should I do if I've lost more than I can afford?

Stop betting immediately and speak to someone. GamCare's helpline (0808 802 0133 in the UK) is free and available 24 hours a day. If you are in Kenya, contact the BCLB at bclb.go.ke. BetBlocker (betblocker.org) can block you from gambling sites immediately and for free while you seek support. Do not try to win the money back — chasing losses almost always makes the situation worse.

How do I stop a bookmaker from taking my bets?

Contact the bookmaker directly and request self-exclusion. In the UK, GAMSTOP (gamstop.co.uk) allows you to self-exclude from all UK-licensed operators simultaneously for a minimum of 6 months. In Kenya, contact your bookmaker's customer support directly — SportPesa and Betika both have self-exclusion mechanisms available via their apps and websites. BetBlocker can also block access to gambling sites on your own device.

Is this content aimed at children?

No. All content on 90Predict is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you are a parent and concerned about a young person accessing gambling-related content, parental control tools and content filters can restrict access. Net Nanny and similar parental control software allow category-level blocks on gambling-related websites.

Does 90Predict make money from gambling?

90Predict does not accept bets and does not operate as a bookmaker. We may receive affiliate commissions from licensed bookmakers when a user visits a bookmaker via a link on our site. This income helps us keep predictions free. It does not influence our editorial decisions — our tips are selected independently of any commercial relationship.
